Lakes and rivers offer access to boating, canoeing, kayaking, and swimming. Campgrounds of all sizes dot the area. Golfers can play several courses including one of the hundred oldest courses in the United States - all against a backdrop of beautiful mountains.
The local theme parks aren't just for visitors - residents enjoy them as well. The area is home to three of the state's grand resorts as well as numerous B&Bs, not to mention a range of dining from fast food to family style to mighty fine. Artisans and art galleries reflect the multitude of talent of those who call the area home.
NH itself consistently ranks in the top few in the Most Livable State surveys. NH typically scores high in safety and health too - it just doesn't get any better than that!
