Donald Crane    CPA, Partner

"Our profession tends to focus on the past. I prefer to focus on making our client's future as prosperous as possible. I truly enjoy helping clients make positive changes in their financial lives. Life's major events carry financial implications. Helping people with them keeps me coming into the office day after day.”

Donald is a forward-looking advisor to individuals and families, businesses, municipalities, and non-profits.

He uses his 28 years of experience and his master's degree in financial planning to help clients prosper. He counsels families on planning for the future. He applies the experience he gained as CFO and general manager with printing companies to help  businesses and organizations make the most of their financial assets.

Donald is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New Hampshire Society of CPAs. He's also active in his community serving as treasurer, board member, and member of several local organizations.

Donald lives in Lancaster with his wife, Donna. He's an avid, albeit slow, runner and enjoys attending marathons. Warning: Donald becomes irrational when it comes to anything to do with the Red Sox.

Kendra Bell    CPA, Partner

"I 'm proud to say I'm from the North Country. What makes the work so rewarding is the ability to help neighbors and give back to the area I grew up in."

Kendra applies her enthusiasm for helping others  and 10 years of experience to all of her clients' situations. Whether working with individuals, businesses, municipalities, or non-profits, Kendra loves to see her clients succeed by staying on top of their financial lives.

She also spearheads the firm's educational workshops, which offer both training in specific topics as well as networking opportunities.

Kendra is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New Hampshire Society of CPAs, and the NH Government Finance Officers Association (NHGFOA). Active in her community, Kendra belongs to a number of local organizations and served as the White Mountains Regional High School Spirit Coach.

“To be able to say I grew up on a dairy farm, one our community has always known, comes with great pleasure. It has given me the type of work ethic, personality, and business experience I use here at Crane & Bell and in my everyday life.”

Michelle grew up in Lancaster, where her love of accounting started in high school. She enjoys numbers and respects the fact that, in accounting, everything has a straight answer.

She interned with Crane & Bell before joining the firm full time upon graduating college. She enjoys the area and the community and is happy to give back to both. She swears she never wants to move, and we’re going to hold her to that!

When not working, Michelle likes to be outdoors. She still enjoys helping out on the farm. Naturally, she helps with the bookkeeping and payroll, but she’s equally happy on a tractor or milking the cows.

"Crane & Bell has a family-type environment and teamwork is important to us all. The staff is eager to learn from each other as well as teach each other.”

Belinda wears many hats at Crane & Bell, mostly geared toward making everyone else's lives easier and more productive.

She arrived at our firm with many years of individual tax preparation experience, and is very involved throughout the year preparing returns and making our systems work effectively.

Belinda also coordinated the firm's transition to a paper-free tax return preparation process.

Belinda spends much of her time gardening and enjoying her family, especially her grandchildren. She also volunteers as an EMT and travels to Maine to camp near the ocean.

Tammy Letson

"I cannot pass up the opportunity to work on a puzzle. Accounting is like a puzzle to me. You can sometimes get lost in all the little pieces, but once you start to put those pieces together, you can step back and see a complete and logical picture.”

Tammy has been on both sides of the municipal fence - working as a town employee in a financial position as well as at software vendor BMSI where towns were her clients. She also has advanced QuickBooks® expertise.

At Crane & Bell she uses her knowledge and expertise to help our towns better manage their finances, through direct consulting and leading training workshops specifically developed for towns.

Tammy is a member of the NH Government Finance Officers Association (NHGFOA). Active in her community, she serves as the secretary of the planning board and trustee of trust funds in Dalton. She is also active with the Dalton auxiliary.

At the end of the day Tammy leaves the world of numbers and municipalities behind and spends time with her husband, daughter and dog. Days when she isn't working, she and the dog head out with either her husband or daughter to go kayaking. Evenings are quite often spent curled up with a good book.

“Finances are a stress factor for so many. So to be able to help people relieve some of that stress is very rewarding. At Crane & Bell, everyone seems to have the same philosophy and everyone is willing to help everyone else.”

Robert refers to his discovery of accounting as a “happy accident.” He brings 19 years experience as a self-employed builder to Crane & Bell along with an understanding of what small local businesses go through.

He lives in Woodsville where he is active in the community, serving as the treasurer for both the Masonic Association and the Masonic Lodge in Lebanon where he grew up. He also lights up the sky above several local towns every year with his fireworks shows. Good thing he’s also a CPR instructor!

Robert refers to himself as a pretty strong hockey fan, having been involved with the sport since the age of three. Just get within earshot and say “Bruins” and you’ll see for yourself. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Jennifer, and children ages 12 to 18.
