Donald Crane    CPA, Partner

"Our profession tends to focus on the past. I prefer to focus on making our client's future as prosperous as possible. I truly enjoy helping clients make positive changes in their financial lives. Life's major events carry financial implications. Helping people with them keeps me coming into the office day after day.”

Donald is a forward-looking advisor to individuals and families, businesses, municipalities, and non-profits.

He uses his 31 years of experience and his master's degree in financial planning to help clients achieve financial success and peace of mind. He counsels families on planning for the future. He applies the experience he gained as CFO and general manager with printing companies to help  businesses and organizations make the most of their financial assets.

Donald is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New Hampshire Society of CPAs. He's also active in his community serving as treasurer, board member, and member of several local organizations.

Donald lives in Lancaster with his wife, Donna. He's an avid, albeit slow, runner and enjoys attending marathons. He's also an amatuer photographer. Warning: Donald becomes irrational when it comes to anything to do with the Red Sox.

"I 'm proud to say I'm from the North Country. What makes the work so rewarding is the ability to help neighbors and give back to the area I grew up in."

Regardless of whether or not she's working on a tax return or spearheading a complex audit, Kendra'a calming and approachable demeanor coupled with her ability to clearly communicate provide her clients with the trust and peace of mind they're looking for in a CPA.

Kendra is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New Hampshire Society of CPAs (currently sitting on the board), and the NH Government Finance Officers Association (NHGFOA). Active in her community, Kendra belongs to a number of local organizations, including the Lancaster Rotary Club.

"I cannot pass up the opportunity to work on a puzzle. Accounting is like a puzzle to me. You can sometimes get lost in all the little pieces, but once you start to put those pieces together, you can step back and see a complete and logical picture.”

Tammy has been on both sides of the municipal fence - working as a town employee in a financial position as well as at software vendor BMSI where towns were her clients. She also has advanced QuickBooks® expertise.

At Crane & Bell she uses her knowledge and expertise to help our towns better manage their finances, through direct consulting and leading training workshops specifically developed for towns.

Tammy is a member of the NH Government Finance Officers Association (NHGFOA). Active in her community, she serves as the secretary of the planning board and trustee of trust funds in Dalton. She is also active with the Dalton auxiliary.

At the end of the day Tammy leaves the world of numbers and municipalities behind and spends time with her husband, daughter and dog. Days when she isn't working, she and the dog head out with either her husband or daughter to go kayaking. Evenings are quite often spent curled up with a good book.

Michelle McVetty    CPA

“To be able to say I grew up on a dairy farm, one our community has always known, comes with great pleasure. It has given me the type of work ethic, personality, and business experience I use here at Crane & Bell and in my everyday life.”

Michelle loves being her clients' "go-to person" and someone they can rely on to help them through financial situations.

Growing up in Lancaster, her love of accounting started in high school. She enjoys numbers and respects the fact that, in accounting, everything has a straight answer.

She interned with Crane & Bell before joining the firm full time upon graduating from Plymouth State University. In July 2011, Michelle earned her CPA designation.

She enjoys the area and the community and is happy to give back to both. She swears she never wants to move, and we’re going to hold her to that!

When not working, Michelle likes to spend time with her husband Eric and their black lab Abby.  She enjoys being outdoors and helping out on the farm. Naturally, she helps with the bookkeeping and payroll, but she’s equally happy on a tractor or milking the cows.

Cory Rayner

"It's a joy working in the North Country close to where I grew up. I find great satisfaction in the fact that we, as a firm, go beyond the numbers and understand our clients' needs at a more personal level. I feel it's what differentiates us most as your local accountants and it's truly special to be part of such a dedicated team every day.”

Cory grew up in Berlin, NH where he learned at a young age that numbers would closely relate to whatever he would pursue later in life. He developed a keen interest for accounting and business finance his freshman year in college. Cory graduated with highest honors, Summa Cum Laude, from Plymouth State University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a minor in Economics.

He loves sports, whether playing or watching them, and has been an athlete since a very young age. Favorite teams include the Red Sox and Celtics. Cory enjoys spending his time off with his girlfriend, their two dogs, and family.

He's currently a member of the NHSCPA (NH Society of Certified Public Accountants) and has completed several CPE (Continuing Professional Education) courses. Cory's goal is to achieve certification in the accounting field as he continues to gain experience and knowledge.

“The importance of hard work and dedication is something I learned growing up on a small family-owned dairy farm. With Crane & Bell, I'm able to combine that work ethic with my love of numbers to help others.”

Samantha graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, interdisciplinary Economics, in 2006. Realizing the accounting profession was calling her name, she continued her education and in 2010 earned her Masters of Science degree in Accounting and Finance.

Samantha serves as the Secretary/Treasurer for the Groveton Regional Economic Action team and is chairperson of the GrayMist Fiddle Fest. When she can, she still works on the dairy farm.

She enjoys spending time with her husband, Keith, as well as with family and friends. Her varied interests include soccer, football, reading, watching movies, and playing the piano and saxophone.
